Abstract

In this paper, we present an alternative, nondestructive method to measure coral growth. Information from two cameras is transformed to Cartesian coordinates using an artificial neural network. Measurements on branches of coral show that the accuracy of our method (1 mm) is comparable to the traditional technique.
