Photomultiplier tube spatial uniformity and its influence on lidar signals

Abstract

The spatial uniformity of the Hamamatsu R928 photomultiplier tube is measured using the flying spot method. The result is used to simulate the effect of PMT spatial non-uniformity on a lidar signal.
