A 6 mJ TEA nitrogen laser

Abstract

We have successfully designed, constructed and operated a transversely excited atmospheric TEA nitrogen laser. Its laser output energy of 6 mJ is sufficient to excite a dye laser configured with an oscillator and amplifier sections.
