Robust color image recognition with principal component analysis and neural networks

Abstract

We propose a technique to classify colored images using principal components and neural network which is robust to scaling, rotation and shifts in the image. Colors are basic information carriers of any natural scene and as such objects can be recognized based on their color alone.
