Abstract

In this paper, the effect of partially substituting ruthenium in the superconducting sites of Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O (2223) samples was investigated. Preparation conditions in fabricating ruthenium substituted high Tc superconductors were analyzed. How the ruthenium affects the chemical and physical properties of BSCCO 2223 superconductors is shown through Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), and resistivity measurements.
