Kinetic equations for binary mixtures using projection techniques
Abstract
Statistical mechanics abounds with formalisms meant to calculate transport coefficients and describe natural phenomena. In addition to traditional kinetic theory as exemplified by the Boltzman transport equation, approaches using C* algebra, elaborate diagrammatic techniques specially from the Prigoginc school, multiple collision theory from the Dutch School, Kubo's linear response theory and Peterson's non linear response theory have emerged.
