Development of a tunable CO2 laser optoacoustic system

Abstract

The construction of the following basic components of an optoacoustic system are described: 1) tunable CO₂ laser, 2) optoacoustic cell, 3) microphone preamplifier, and 4) phase sensitive detector. The operations of the tunable CO₂ laser, the phase sensitive detector, the microphone pre-amplifier, and the constructed optoacoustic system as a whole are demonstrated.
