Abstract

In this paper we discuss the limitations of the Fourier transform spectrometer as spectrum analyzer in the optical domain. These limitations include applications in single event measurements, time-dependent and ultrafast spectral events, UV-Visible spectroscopy, and modulation spectroscopy.
