Superlattice as a photovoltaic material
Abstract
Novel and highly efficient photoelectronic devices can now be fabricated by making use of the combined effects of p-n Junction (selective doping), Schottky
barrier, and the effective-mass filtering in a superlattice. Quantum amplification of photocurrent by effective-mass filtering effect is explained in some detail. Possible superlattice materials for solar cells are discussed.
