Synthesis of high Tc superconductors

Abstract

The preparation and synthesis of the high Tc ceramic superconductor YBa2Cu3O9-δ is given. The synthesis was done via a solid state reaction using Y2O3, BaCO3 and CuO as precursor materials. The samples were found to exhibit superconductivity at 92K.
