Measurements on a helical bifilar transversely-excited CO2 laser
Abstract
We discuss design parameters and operating characteristics for a pulsed transversely-excited carbon dioxide laser based on a bifilar helical electrode arrangement. The advantages of such a system are the long effective excitation length and the circularly symmetric cross section of the output beam.
