Abstract

The supersymmetric Wess-Zumino model and the Yang-Mills theory are discussed by using the Newman-Penrose formalism. The classical equations of motion are then derived using the tetrad version of Euler-Lagrange equations. These are then subsequently written in terms of the spin coefficients. A null coordinate system based on a moving world line is used to rewrite the spin-coefficient equations of motion.
