Abstract

Using an exact equation derived from the Liouville equation, a systematic approximation procedure is used to derive a kinetic equation for the momentum distribution function for a uniform system. The equation is then solved exactly to yield three frequencies which could be used to describe temporal turbulence. The relation of this description to other approaches is discussed, together with the assumptions needed to justify this approach.
