Finite-part integration of the Stieltjes transform of a class of hypergeometric functions

Abstract

Finite-part integration is a method of evaluating convergent integrals using the finite parts of divergents  recently introduced in Proc. Roy. Soc. A 473, 20160567 (2017). Here we demonstrate finite part integration by evaluating explicitly the Stieltjes transform of a class of hypergeometric function.
