Abstract

A fluorescent transparent nanocellulose film produced from TEMPO-mediated cellulose nanofibers was made by immersion in a fluorescent chlorophyll in acetone solution. Using a UV laser (λ=355nm), hybrid film was tested for fluorescent properties. Fluorescence spectra show a peak value at 683.21nm. Nanocellulose film suitability as a medium for fluorescent materials was observed using comparisons between spectra of starting chlorophyll solution and corresponding hybrid film.
