On simultaneous weak measurements of kinetic energy and potential energy of the quantum harmonic oscillator
Abstract
We consider the simultaneous weak quantum measurements of kinetic energy and potential energy of the harmonic oscillator using the Arthurs-Kelly model for joint quantum measurements. The harmonic oscillator is preselected and post selected in its ground state. Under the weak coupling limit, the measurement may yield a negative value of the kinetic and potential energy.
