Noise exposure level of study areas in the Learning Resource Center (LRC) of the University of San Carlos
Abstract
This paper gives details on the acoustical status of the library, Learning Resource Center, of the University of San Carlos. Information on the noise exposure levels of the different study areas in the library was gathered to assess its efficiency. The mean noise level measured was above 50 dBA which exceeds the recommended 40 dBA of the World Health Organization. This study can be used as a reference for the improvement of the acoustical structure of the library in order to produce an effective learning environment for students in the future.
