Abstract

Particle size distribution of the structures on the surface of the femtosecond pulsed laser deposited Nd:YAG films were examined. The mean value of the width and the length of the observed grains structure were found to be 3.9 and 4.1 microns respectively, while the mean value of the length and width of the void distribution were found to be 2.4 and 3.9 microns. The distribution has also been observed to follow log-normal distribution, which is attributed to the use of ultrafast laser as an excitation source.
