Determination of diffusion coefficient via wavelet correlation
Abstract
We used an updated calibration curve for the calculation of the axial distance from the correlation value estimated from the correlation between the image of the microsphere and the wavelets. From the calculated three dimensional trajectories, we obtained for the diffusion coefficient of nano- pure water solution (D = 0.4758 μm2/s) which a factor of 10 reduction from the previous results by Esporlas, deviates from the theoretical value of 0.470 μm2/s by 1.31% compared to the diffusion coefficient calculated using two- dimensional trajectory.
