Supersymmetry breaking via scalar sterile neutrino
Abstract
The Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) is extended by including a sterile neutrino chiral supermultiplet. To preserve the SU(3) and U(1) gauge symmetry below the electroweak symmetry breaking scale, it is assumed that the scalar leptons, apart from the sterile neutrino, and scalar quarks acquire vanishing VEVs. With this assumption, a neccessary and sufficient condition for the scalar sterile neutrino (ssneutrino) to break the supersymmetry is then derived.
