Investigation of the harmonic plus coloumb potential for heavy quarkonia through the spin dependent corrections
Abstract
Relativistic spin dependent corrections are taken into account in reproducing the mass spectra of low-lying heavy quarkonia. The numerical values of the masses of heavy quarks and other parameters that are introduced in the interaction potential are extracted using the analytic form of the mass and the latest data from Particle Data Group. The value of strong coupling obtained is 0.583 which is big enough to exclude some low-lying states and is more than twice (0.2) the accepted value of strong coupling constant.
