Longevity of information in complex networks with inhomogeneous receptivity distribution and stochastic transmission time
Abstract
We simulated the propagation of information in three types of complex networks, i.e., the Barabási-Albert, Erdös-Rényi and Watts-Strogatz networks populated by nodes with inhomogeneous receptivity to information. We found that the longevity of information in the network depends on the receptivity of the individuals in the network and the topology of the network itself.
