Abstract

Multiple plane phase retrieval methods rely on intensity measurements measured from multiple distances to reconstruct phase information. Single-beam multiple-intensity reconstruction (SBMIR) is an example of multiple plane phase retrieval that uses the angular spectrum method to compute the phase information through an iterative process. In this paper, we modified the SBMIR method to allow the use of Fresnel impulse response method which was shown, through simulations, to increase the algorithm's rate of convergence. The modification imposed a minimum distance limit between the target and the measurement planes which was also shown through simulations.
