Abstract

In multiple plane phase retrieval, stagnation or the arrival of the iterative numerical algorithm to an incorrect solution, is a problem. In this study, we propose implementing grid-like pattern as the guess phase to accelerate multiple plane phase retrieval with unordered wave propagations on binary amplitudes, free from stagnations. We compared it to using constant and random guess phases. Simulations show that the proposed guess phase yield faster reconstruction with no stagnations compared to using constant or random guess phases. This guess phase may be used in other multiple intensity-based phase retrieval techniques.
