Abstract

Heavy right-handed Majorana neutrinos are hypothetical particles that are postulated to explain the lightness of the Standard Model neutrinos, but also have the potential to explain dark matter and the matter–antimatter asymmetry. This study proposes a strategy for searching for heavy neutrinos in a process where one heavy neutrino decays into another, with the lighter one being stable. Final states with three leptons are analyzed, and the formulated cutflow exhibits potential for constraining heavy neutrino masses, but may require higher luminosity than the HL-LHC for detection.
