Mass and compactness of a magnetized anisotropic star
Abstract
We studied the mass and compactness of an anisotropic stellar model proposed by Bowers and Liang in the presence of a poloidal magnetic field. We compared the Schwarzschild radius with its given radius, and its given mass with the Buchdahl limit. Using numerical computations, we found that there are configurations of strength of magnetic field and anisotropy that possibly form black hole mimickers. Also, there is a noticeable change of compactness when radial pressure is relatively much greater than the transverse pressures compared to the other way around.
