Abstract

We report the asymmetric parameter conditions to observe 'slow-light' and 'fast-light' propagation in the recently reported crisscrossed coupled-ring reflector (X-CRR) device by laying out a more general and compact analytical expression for the group delay of the reflected light. We then use these group delay parameter conditions to generate and examine their corresponding intensity responses. This analysis further characterizes the X-CRR device and its potential applications.
