Abstract

Quantization of the angle function θ will be discussed in this paper using coherent state quantization. The quantization requires the construction of families of coherent states. In this work, a family of coherent states will be obtained from a certain phase space obtained from the discrete group of the integers  G = ℤ. The corresponding phase space is the discrete cylinder group G x Ĝ = ℤ x S1. The computations presented here should prove useful for discrete quantum systems.
