Abstract

The Philippine Nuclear Research Institute (PNRI) owns a portable, first-generation translate-rotate industrial computerized tomography (CT) system. The tomography system features a single NaI(Tl) detector, a radioactive source holder, a computer-controlled mechanical rig, data acquisition and image reconstruction capability. Objects up to one (1) meter in diameter can be imaged. Several test objects were imaged to show the CT measurement until the reconstruction of the cross-section of the sample. This is to demonstrate the huge applicability of gamma-ray CT for industrial applications.
