Abstract

We present a simple testing platform for a pushbroom camera with no moving parts. The test platform involves a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) projector and an intermediary lens system which images the target on the surface of the CCD sensor. The system projects a scrolling image across the imaging sensor, instead of using a scanning rail eliminating the need for complex instrumentation and lighting. The test camera system was able to generate images with good fidelity. We demonstrate the platform on a linear array camera being developed as a satellite payload.
