Abstract

A phase retrieval method based on diffuser mask translation conventionally uses only a single plane recording. Due to object-dependent factors, the conventional method sometimes encounters stagnation problem. In this study, a technique for two-plane recording system for phase retrieval method is demonstrated through simulations. The performance of the technique is investigated in terms of number of recording planes and phase depth of diffuser. Maximizing intensity variation, the technique offers accurate and faster reconstructions for the test object waves used.
