Acquisition of temperature and humidity using multi-radio wireless sensor network
Abstract
Wireless sensor networks (WSN) are shown to be effective in monitoring large environments. We monitor different areas of a building by using a WSN with each sensor having at most two radio transceivers. With DHT11 to acquire temperature and humidity values, data from deployed network were collected using flooding and data aggregation in message passing. Sources and sinks of heat and moisture as well as their differences even within a room were detected by the network while having a minimum success rate of 73% and 100% at maximum.
