Abstract

An effective public transportation system is essential to urban mobility. Factors such as travel time and rider comfort are considered by potential users of public transport. In this work, we describe the dynamics of bus trips from the Pasig City bus fleet from August to October 2019 in terms of the vehicle's jerk, speed transitions, and pace. Bus trips during this period fall within the jerk threshold for comfort and riding the bus is generally faster the average walking pace in most cases.
