Abstract

We demonstrate the dependence of information flow within random network of different node connection probabilities on node capacities and information flow rates in the presence of noise. Information flows throughout the network as the information packets were passed from one node to the other. Each node in the network has limited capacity to accommodate information. The effective node capacities change per time step due to the presence of noise. It was found out that, without noise, the average total information passed within the network increases as the node capacity increases. With increasing noise-strength, there is a decreasing change in total information passed even for increasing node capacities.
