Characterizing pixel crosstalk in a transmissive spatial light modulator
Abstract
We characterize the pixel crosstalk in a transmissive spatial light modulator (SLM). By measuring the resulting power distribution with a corresponding known hologram input, the diffraction efficiency of the SLM was measured. A Mach Zehnder interferometer was constructed and used in order to determine the phase differences of the SLM. The experimental results are analyzed and compared with the theoretical result. Light remains unmodulated at the zeroth order at all phase shifts, which we attributed to other limitations of the SLM. This comparison gives a description for the pixel crosstalk occuring in the SLM used.
