Abstract

We demonstrate an experimental realization of Komrska’s numerical calculation for computing Fraunhofer diffraction patterns. Using superposition of LG modes, periodic and symmetric beams from diffraction associated with rotationally symmetric apertures are generated. The diffraction patterns show dependence on the symmetry of apertures consistent with Komrska’s computation. The diffraction patterns is studied by calculating the intensity function of the patterns. Lastly, we verify the periodicity of the patterns obtained by defining lattice vectors of the patterns.
