About the Speaker

  • Chiko Otani, RIKEN Center for Advanced Photonics

    Chiko Otani obtained his Ph.D. degree in Astronomy from the University of Tokyo in 1995. He was a Guest Associate Professor (2007-2017) and currently Guest Professor at Tohoku University. Since 2013 he has been the Group Director of the Terahertz-wave Research Group at the RIKEN Center for Advanced Photonics. His research work involves quantum sensing and measurements as well as terahertz detectors, sensing/imaging technologies, and applications.
