Abstract

We fabricated and characterized an automated microfluidic system, demonstrated as a thermometric titrator. The device was tested using HCl (strong acid) and NaOH (strong base) with concentrations of 0.5, 1.0, and 2.0 M, and with varying volumes of mixing chamber. The system was able to measure temperature change as low as 1.0 x 10-3 °C with  with every addition of titrant, and was able to determine the endpoint with a limit of detection (LOD) of 0.16 M.
