Superconducting BPSCCO Films synthesized via sedimentation process and melt-quench technique
Abstract
Superconducting BSCCO thin film was synthesized via sedimentation process on a polycrystalline (001) and (110) substrate. A stochiometry of 2223 was followed and it resulted to multiphase formation upon heat treatment. The thermodynamically stable 2212 phase was preferred by the growth conditions obtaining a critical temperature of ~ 60-80K. Diffraction patterns of the films as presented have intensity peaks of 2223 and 2212 phases and from these intensity values, 2212 is the more prominent phase than 2223.
