Observations of aerosol optical depth and formation of fog during 2006 and 2010 New Year celebrations
Abstract
Spectrometric observations during the 2006 and 2010 New Year celebration are reported. During these foggy events, AOD values have been measured at 550nm. The observations showed that the two New Year data displayed two different temporal locations of the AOD peaks. Based on the relative humidity measurements and dew point temperature, the fog formation can be attributed to high aerosol loading in the atmosphere and low ambient and dew point temperature difference.
