Abstract

We present a method of reshaping light in three dimension via phase modulation of a piecewise defined source. The method extends the two dimensional Gerchberg-Saxton (GS) algorithm to three dimension through the array theorem and angular spectrum method. We are able to project different patterns at different axial positions using a single laser. And because of the piecewise implementation, we can have independent control for the patterns projected.
