Effects of superimposed DC bias field to AC magnetic susceptibility of Bi-2223 superconductor
Abstract
We present initial investigation on the effects of DC magnetic field to AC magnetic susceptibility behavior of a bulk Bi-2223 superconductor. The DC field was found to affect both the intragranular and intergranular signal. Investigations were done on three sets of parameters of constant AC field amplitude. They were as follows: Hdc > Hac ; Hdc < Hac and Hac in between the range of Hdc. The initial data shows that the DC field may possibly drive flux penetration at certain combination of AC and DC field evidenced by broadening of the intragranular response in the χ’ data.
