Light path correction pseudospectra for diffractive optical elements
Abstract
This work considers the second order light path correction as a perturbation from the actual light path, in two ways. First, a general expression for the second order correction is derived by considering small deviations from the actual point of incidence. Second, pseudospectra of perturbed ABCD matrices are calculated. Results suggest that stability of pseudospectra may find use in assessing optical element tolerance as well as in tunable optical component design and actuation.
