A study on the AC magnetic susceptibility of a granular Pb-doped Bi-2223 using a non-vortex model
Abstract
A non-vortex model which was previously used on YBCO and MgB2 sample was used to account for the susceptibility behavior of a granular Pb-doped Bi-2223. The model only assumes the presence of induced eddy current which shields the sample from applied magnetic field. The model was found to agree well with the experimental data of Pb-doped Bi-2223. The results were found similar with the previous study in YBCO and MgB2. This implies that the model may be sufficient to account for the behaviour of complex susceptibility without the assumption of vortices and without using the popular critical state models.
