Abstract

The unique properties of Bessel beams have rendered them useful in various fields. These beams can be made available without going through the usual methods of Bessel beam generation through holographic storage in a photorefractive crystal. Stored holograms, however, suffer from gradual erasure during readout when the crystal is illuminated by a reference wave. This inherent decay of holograms during readout is lessened by employing the dual wavelength method. In this paper the feasibility of reconstructing Bessel beams using the dual wavelength method is demonstrated.
