Spectral diagnostic of laser-produced BiSrCaCuO plasma
Abstract
A BiSrCaCuO target is ablated by a Q-switched 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser at incident power from 1.7 W to 3.1 W under 0.01 mbar vacuum generating a highly transient plasma. Time integrated emission spectroscopy identified the plasma species as Bi (II) – 4078 Å, Sr(I) - 4608 Å, Ca (I) - 6121 Å, Cu (I) 5219 Å, and O (I) – 6154 Å. Transient evolution of the optical emission of the laser-produced plasma was also measured and plasma duration of 60 μs (FWHM) was obtained.
