Abstract

PAni-EB films were prepared by casting method. These films were aged at 65°C for different times. SEM and AFM images show that the surface becomes smoother as ageing proceeds. Results of Fourier Transfrom Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) for the samples show conversion of Quinoid to Benzenoid structures. The breaking stress and elastic modulus increases with ageing time. These observations manifest crosslinking in the samples upon ageing. The PAni-EB films were then doped. It was found out that the conductivities of the films increased with the increase in ageing time but decreases for prolonged ageing.
