Abstract

In this paper, a novel way of performing electrooculography (EOG) using a PASCO EKG sensor is presented. The parameters used in performing the experiments are investigated as well as the limitations of the sensor used. In using the PASCO sensor for electrooculography it was found that for diagonal movements of the eye, the horizontal and vertical components of motion can be determined. A linear relationship between the peak voltage and the angle of eye movement was also observed within the range of –11.2 to 11.2 degrees. These observations on the EOG open applications on eye mapping and tracking for different physiological and psychological studies.
