Implementation of Clarkson sector integration using LabVIEWTM

Abstract

This paper presents the implementation of Clarkson Sector Integration method using a LabVIEWTM program in the calculation of equivalent square fields. The newly developed program was tested on square, circular, and rectangular field shapes with sizes ranging from 3 x 3 cm2 to a maximum of 30 x 30 cm2 . The program yielded outputs with accuracy of ≤ 2 mm for square fields and accuracy of ≤ 1.9 mm for circular fields. When tested with rectangular fields, experimental values closely approximate reference values for rectangles having length and width difference ≤ 2 cm with accuracy of ≤ 2 mm.
