Some properties of disordered clusters in two-dimensional gradient percolation
Abstract
We make a preliminary investigation of properties of disordered clusters in two-dimensional uniform gradient percolation. Uniform gradient percolation is a variation of ordinary site percolation wherein instead of the lattice having a constant occupation probability p, an occupation probability p(x) that increases uniformly along the x axis of the lattice is employed. Our initial results indicate that for pmin = 0.59 and pmax = 0.62 the model is not in the same universality class as ordinary site percolation.
